Help with the Wellhead Field app.
Wellhead Field is field-service software for well pump and pressure tank contractors. It replaces a paper job ticket: the technician records what was found at a well, what was installed, what was measured and what was sampled, and the office sees it. Every contractor runs it for its own technicians, customers and wells, and a contractor's office connects each phone with a code it issues โ so help with the app starts with the office of the contractor you work for.
Getting into the app
- A new phone opens on Connect this phone and holds nothing until it is connected. There is no sign-up and no password: a phone is enrolled with a six-character code the office issues, which works once and expires in fifteen minutes. Ask the office for one and type it in.
- If the app says the phone was disconnected by the office, the office has cut that phone off. Work recorded on it is kept; ask the office for a fresh code and enrol again.
- To hand a phone to somebody else, or to start over, Settings โ Disconnect this phone removes everything the office sent and goes back to asking for a code. It refuses while work is still waiting to send.
Working without signal
Everything a technician records is saved on the phone first and sent when there is signal. The count on the sync badge is what has not reached the office yet. Sync now under Settings sends it; a phone that has no signal for a week loses nothing.
